How come Filipinos are creative, but don't make the use of it in entertainment?

How come people who are in the entertainment could just sit down and think about making a story instead of getting the stuff out of foreign movies and shows?

I have seen all over the net, many filipinos are talented. But out of all things, why can't they come up with a story? What ever happen to "imagination"? why can't they use there creativity to these type of things?

People can paint, dance (not from tv but in performing arts) and sorts of things.

Filipinos can come up with very creative stories but unfortunately, producers don't want to risk their money in new things that they still have to introduce to the market, they rather stick to formula movies which are sure to draw big bucks out of the pockets of the Filipino masa.

Most scripts with fresh theme are trashed everyday, sad to say. This forces the writer to come up with formula scripts to make a living... and the domino effect of mediocrity goes on and on.

Filipinos can come up with creative stories easily. Just look at Sana Maulit Muli.. LOL.
Well, I guess it's just hard to please everybody.
Too much red tape. You must know somebody to get in the business.
once upon a time there was a girl named Maria Elena Corazon Talumpati...she lived in a banana grove. she was a beautiful village dweller, many men loved her...but MECT had a secret, she was a MANANANGAL.

she would carry her lantern at night to the deepest part of the banana grove and turn into her cursed form. she would live this way until she could find a man who loved her in both forms...in came Jose Luis Valenciano, the son of the village chief.

one night he happened to be at the banana grove working the late shift. he felt a great gust of wind and looked up. in came the dreaded mananangal of folklore swooping in. Jose hid himself and watched in horror as the monster reattached itself to its detached lower body...

he tried to hold his chest...his heart was pounding so hard he feared the mananangal might hear it and come rip it out of him. just then Jose was blinded by an intense light and was forced to close his eyes...when it subsided he opened them again...and to his sheer shock.......to be continued...buy my book and read the rest :)
They do make use of their talents.... or maybe you're just watching GMA7... Joke..

Look at the telenovelas in ABS-CBN. You'll see that we really do make use of our talents...
you see filipinos are really talented but filipino audiences are more influenced with other countries culture, it is like colonial mentality, so tv shows try to appeal with the masses, and what do the masses like, dramas like 鈥睲eteor Garden鈥?, 鈥睩ull house 鈥?etc., but there are few exceptions that hit big in showbiz, those shows are what they call experimental. Anyway business will always be business!!
Yes, Filipinos are creative, they just don't have enough money to use it. Why?,,,....aren't you FILIPINO??? I think not. B/c you're insulting Pinoys....or if you are Pinoy....you're not proud.....
