Why does the media potray the role of all women of great physical strength and skills to be ........

To only be what the media deems to be physically hott, white and Asian?

And no, I鈥檓 not trying to make it so much a racial issue, but that is what the general media displays.

In every movie or TV show I have ever seen that involves women fighting, performing martial arts, combat and ect, are all the typical model material type and the only ethnic backgrounds I have ever seen act out these roles are white, Asian and in some cases Indian women.

Ummmmm... because these are b-grade movies that tell make-believe stories... badly?

Why does the media potray the role of all women of great physical strength and skills to be .................?state theatre opera theater

The Alien trilogy rocks! Princess Leigha was really cool and classicaly pretty, Futurama does a great job with the one-eyed purple haired lady kicking martial arts booty....give me a minute, but there are more.

Not to discredit your question, but the variety is out there.
The need a Hindu chick to level things out.
What about Halle Berry, in Catwoman? Lame movie, but I think it does count.
Don't you remember Grace Jones in the James Bond movie?
The media sells the myth....and so it goes.
Grace Jones is a Man! Bleccch!
Austin Powers: Goldmember

Foxy Cleopatra was African-American

OK, so it was a comedy, but she still kicked some rear!
Have you noticed that all Asians in general are portrayed in stereotyped roles? If they're women, they're super hot looking and ready to jump into bed. If they're men, they're super smart, asexual, and nerdy. Both sexes are often portrayed as being martial arts experts that have mystical powers.
